Cabot Corporation, a leading global specialty chemicals and performance materials company, is hiring a skilled Engineering Technician to join its engineering and technical team in Dubai. This role involves hands-on support in the design, assembly, installation, and maintenance of prototype chemical process equipment and systems. The Engineering Technician will work closely with engineers to drive continuous improvement in process automation and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, fabrication, and assembly of prototype chemical process equipment and sub-assemblies, including plumbing and electrical systems.

• Support the installation and removal of manufacturing and test equipment using drawings and engineering sketches.

• Participate in developing and testing system automation, electro-mechanical systems, and chemical plant processes.

• Maintain and calibrate testing instruments and tools, ensuring they meet technical specifications and safety standards.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on prototype equipment and assist with troubleshooting.

• Identify and implement improvements to equipment, test methods, and data analysis processes.

• Document updates to technical manuals and specifications.

• Participate in special projects and support compliance with the Responsible Care® Management System (RC14001®), as required by the site or region.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Formal technical training beyond high school.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in an engineering technician or technical support role.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve technical issues.

• Quality-focused, detail-oriented, and highly organized.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting aggressive deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Creativity and the ability to contribute constructive ideas to improve systems and operations.
