Engineering Manager

A leading industrial construction project in Dubai is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee all on-site engineering operations. This role is critical in ensuring technical excellence, seamless coordination between design and construction teams, and the successful delivery of complex heavy industrial projects.

The Engineering Manager will lead the site Engineering and Document Control teams while supporting construction execution, quality assurance, and safety compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and mentor Engineering and Document Management teams.

• Participate in senior project leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.

• Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture on-site.

Technical Oversight

• Ensure all engineering deliverables align with construction requirements.

• Provide technical evaluation of contractor and vendor bid submissions.

• Interpret design documents to ensure constructability and site feasibility.

• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical clarifications.

• Provide engineering solutions for field modifications and site changes.

Design & Interface Coordination

• Manage information flow between client representatives, design engineers, and site teams.

• Oversee interface coordination to maintain a construction-driven execution approach.

• Monitor integration of design updates into site activities.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Support the development and implementation of the Site Quality Manual (SQM).

• Ensure engineering activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.

• Oversee engineering walk-downs and compliance checks.

Program & Systems Management

• Manage the Site Pressure Testing Program.

• Oversee 3D model reviews and ensure effective utilization of digital engineering tools.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (4-year accredited program or global equivalent).

• Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy industrial construction projects.

• Proven experience in Copper/Gold Concentrator projects.

• Strong proficiency in 3D modeling platforms such as Navisworks Freedom and SmartPlant.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams in complex site environments.
