We are seeking a skilled Electrical Draughtsman (EPLAN / ELCAD) to join a leading MEP contracting company in Dubai. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for candidates with strong experience in preparing electrical schematics and panel drawings for large-scale projects.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming engineering designs into accurate, production-ready drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN/ELCAD
• Develop General Arrangement (GA), assembly, and fabrication drawings for control panels and switchgear systems
• Create termination diagrams, cable schedules, and routing layouts
• Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and parts lists
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and industry regulations (IEC, NFPA)
• Update and revise drawings based on design changes and site feedback
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
• Assist in component placement and layout optimization for performance and maintainability
• Maintain drawing registers, CAD libraries, and document control systems
• Provide technical support to workshop and site teams during manufacturing and installation
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Essential:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 2–3 years of experience as an Electrical Draughtsman in MEP, switchgear, or control panel environments
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, and/or ELCAD
• Strong experience in preparing manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Understanding of electrical components, panel construction, and sheet metal fabrication
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Preferred:

• Experience working on large-scale MEP or industrial projects
• Familiarity with electrical standards such as IEC and NFPA
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Salary & Benefits

• AED 4,000 – 5,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances)
