Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a skilled and experienced Dry Cleaner to join its esteemed Laundry Department. This role ensures all garments and uniforms meet the highest luxury standards, delivering legendary service inspired by Asian heritage. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in fabric care and stain removal, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dry-cleaning machines and handle chemicals with care, strictly following safety protocols and garment care labels.

• Inspect garments pre- and post-cleaning for quality and treat stains appropriately, hand-washing delicate fabrics when necessary.

• Press and finish garments to luxury standards, ensuring a professional and polished presentation.

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of laundry areas and equipment.

• Collaborate with the Laundry team to uphold service standards, contribute to workflow improvements, and assist in daily operations.

• Respond professionally to guest requests or concerns related to laundry services, aiming to exceed expectations.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Education: High School Diploma required; Vocational Diploma in Fabric Care/Textiles preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dry-cleaning experience in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment; Middle East experience is a plus.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in dry-cleaning equipment operations and stain removal techniques.

  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment care, and finishing standards.

• Language Skills: Fluent English required; Arabic is a plus.

• Additional Skills:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Physically fit, able to stand for long periods, and available for overnight shifts if needed.
