Job Description:
We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Dry Cargo Ship Broker to join our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Dry Cargo ship broking, with experience across any vessel size. As a Dry Cargo Ship Broker, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and providing market intelligence and analysis to clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Market Promotion: Represent FIS by promoting the company’s services, providing insightful market analysis, and sharing trade ideas with clients.

Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, track daily trading activities, and ensure regular communication.

Business Development: Drive revenue by identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging industry trends and market insights.
-
Market Insight: Undertake in-depth market analysis, offering timely reports, insights, and trading ideas to clients.

Daily Price Discovery: Be responsible for daily price dissemination and matching, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Report Writing: Prepare and create daily market reports to inform clients of the latest trends and developments.

Client Acquisition: Actively identify and introduce new clients to the market while maintaining professional relationships with existing ones.

Risk Management: Promote a risk-aware culture and ensure adherence to FIS’s policies and guidelines.

Training & Development: Regularly seek feedback to ensure role requirements are met and participate in mandatory company training sessions.
Key Competencies & Skills:

Proven experience in Dry Cargo shipbroking, with a focus on Handymax, Supramax, or Panamax vessels.

Strong understanding of Dry Cargo markets and related trends.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Tenacious and able to thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and numerical proficiency.

Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups.

Willingness to travel and attend client social events as part of relationship-building efforts.
