Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a courteous and professional Doorman to join its Concierge team. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for hospitality professionals who take pride in creating memorable first impressions. As a Doorman, you will be the face of the hotel, welcoming guests with warmth and precision, managing arrivals and departures, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from curbside to check-in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure, assist with luggage, and open car and hotel doors
- Manage street traffic and maintain cleanliness and order at the hotel entrance
- Escort guests to elevators and assist with taxis and transportation
- Handle department keys, radios, and phones securely
- Communicate effectively with the front office and other departments
- Uphold safety standards and hotel policies at all times
- Collect guest preferences and resolve or escalate guest concerns
- Contribute to a positive team environment and attend staff meetings
Requirements:
- Senior School qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a 5-star hotel, with at least 2 years in a Door or Bell role
- Prior experience in the Middle East hospitality sector preferred
- Fluent in English; Arabic or other language skills are a plus
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
