Role Overview:
Join the Chalhoub Group as the Director of Media Relations & Public Affairs, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the Group’s external communications strategy. This senior position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and building media relationships, aimed at enhancing the Group’s reputation in the luxury retail industry. You will work closely with top-tier regional and global media, stakeholders, and senior leaders to position Chalhoub Group as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Communications Strategy:
Develop and execute communication strategies, campaigns, and events that align with Chalhoub Group’s objectives, with a focus on expanding presence in the KSA market. -
Stakeholder Engagement:
Drive the Group-wide stakeholder engagement strategy, fostering relationships with key media, influencers, and decision-makers globally and regionally. -
Thought Leadership & Spokesperson Development:
Lead the thought leadership strategy for Group executives, providing media training and preparing executives for interviews and public speaking engagements. -
Media Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with regional A-list media and globally relevant outlets, ensuring the Group’s presence at strategic global conferences. -
Content Strategy:
Collaborate with content, social media, and digital teams to create engaging content across various platforms (web, videos, podcasts) and maintain consistent messaging internally and externally. -
Media Reporting & Analysis:
Lead media reporting and analysis efforts, providing insights into the Group’s media presence and industry news trends. -
Employer Branding:
Work closely with HR to develop and execute external communications related to employer branding, positioning Chalhoub Group as a top employer. -
Event Management & Public Speaking:
Oversee events, interviews, and speaking opportunities to enhance the Group’s reputation and ensure strategic communication alignment.
Candidate Requirements:

Experience:
Proven track record in media relations, public affairs, and corporate communications with a strong network in both regional and global media. -
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and drive results while maintaining integrity. -
Leadership:
Experience in overseeing thought leadership initiatives for senior stakeholders and managing communication teams. -
Languages:
Fluency in English is required. French is a plus. -
Industry Knowledge:
Experience within the luxury retail industry is highly preferred but not mandatory. -
Additional Skills:
Strong content creation and media pitching experience, with proficiency in leveraging digital tools and platforms.
