Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), a premier healthcare institution in the UAE, is seeking a qualified Dietitian 1 to join the Longevity Clinic within its Allied Health department. This on-site, full-time role involves providing individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using a multidisciplinary approach for both inpatients and outpatients. The position follows the American Dietetic Association’s Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to ensure high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized MNT using the four-step Nutrition Care Process: Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, and Monitoring/Evaluation.

Document all assessments and interventions according to facility policies.

Refer complex cases to senior dietitians or supervisors to maintain quality standards.

Coordinate with ward and food service staff regarding patient dietary needs and nutrition goals.

Participate in medical rounds and prioritize high-need patients.

Engage in discharge planning, staff development, and patient education initiatives.

Contribute to quality improvement projects and patient education material development.
-
Communicate nutrition care plans with healthcare teams.
-
Maintain continued professional development through department activities and training.
-
Mentor dietetic interns and undergraduate students.

Represent the department in awareness campaigns and media, when approved.
Accountabilities:

Support implementation of departmental policies and annual business plans.

Ensure delivery of evidence-based patient care.

Adhere to the limits and privileges defined by department leadership.

Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with SSMC standards.

Uphold the values of stewardship and excellence across clinical duties.
Qualifications:
Experience (Required):
-
Minimum 3 years of clinical dietitian experience in an acute care setting.
Education (Required):
-
Bachelor of Science in Dietetics
OR -
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
OR -
Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
OR -
Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Nutrition major) + Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s in Dietetics
AND -
Active membership in a recognized Nutrition Society or Association
AND -
Current national license or registration
