Role Overview

Exclusive Talent Human Resource Consultancies Co. is seeking an experienced Design Manager on behalf of a client based in Dubai Investment Park (DIP) for a 9–11 month project-based assignment.

The successful candidate will lead the full design lifecycle of modular building projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, efficiency, and timely project delivery. This role requires strong expertise in modular/off-site construction, DfMA principles, BIM coordination, and multi-disciplinary team leadership.


Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end design development from concept through IFC and project handover.

  • Develop and implement project-specific design strategies and execution plans aligned with DfMA principles.

  • Establish structured workflows, approval processes, and information management systems.

  • Drive standardisation, buildability, and efficiency across all design outputs.

2. Governance & Design Management

  • Develop and maintain Design Responsibility Matrices, Deliverable Trackers, and Risk Registers.

  • Manage design programmes to ensure coordinated and timely information release.

  • Oversee design change control, impact assessments, and approval procedures.

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, sustainability goals, and contract specifications.

3. Technical Coordination & Oversight

  • Coordinate architects, structural, civil, MEP, and specialist consultants.

  • Review drawings, BIM models, and material submissions with structured technical feedback.

  • Manage documentation within the Common Data Environment (CDE).

  • Lead clash detection, constructability reviews, and BIM model coordination.

4. Stakeholder & Client Interface

  • Serve as the primary design interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

  • Prepare and present design reports, proposals, and programme updates.

  • Lead design workshops, meetings, and buildability reviews.

  • Oversee comment resolution and formal design sign-off processes.

5. Delivery & Construction Support

  • Provide technical support during manufacturing and on-site installation.

  • Resolve design-related challenges proactively to mitigate cost or schedule risks.

  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary design and engineering teams.

  • Support resource planning and workload management.

  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in design coordination/management within modular, off-site, or construction environments.

  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong expertise in DfMA, modular construction methodologies, and prefabrication workflows.

  • Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar).

  • Strong programme, risk, and change management capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of sustainability and low-carbon modular design principles.

  • Experience with BIM Execution Plans and CDE platforms.

  • Familiarity with lean construction and digital delivery methodologies.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contract deliverables.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-driven mindset.


Compensation

AED 25,000 – 30,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
Temporary assignment: 9–11 months.
