Job Overview
SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd. DMCC Branch is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Deputy Legal Director to join our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will oversee legal compliance across international operations, manage cross-border legal affairs, and support corporate governance initiatives, while leading high-level negotiations and mitigating risk across diverse jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and ensure legal compliance across the company’s international operations.

Provide comprehensive legal support for overseas projects, including marketing, negotiation, and contract execution.

Build and maintain strong relationships with international legal service providers and professional networks.

Assist the Head of Legal with corporate governance-related legal matters.

Lead dispute resolution processes including litigation and arbitration.

Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks through strategic controls and preventive measures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years of legal practice, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (legal team leader or corporate legal head).

Demonstrated success in managing cross-border compliance, international dispute resolution, and complex negotiations.
Skills and Expertise:

Strong ability to evaluate legal risks across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks.

Commercial acumen to deliver strategic legal advisory and risk assessments.

Proven leadership in contract reviews, crisis management, and international legal operations.
Soft Skills:

Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to perform under pressure and manage complex legal issues effectively.
Education & Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) required; Master’s degree preferred.

Licensed to practice law (Bar admission or equivalent professional certification).

Intermediate or senior professional title.
Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and Chinese (business-legal proficiency mandatory).
Additional Preferences:

Common Law jurisdiction education or work experience is highly desirable.
