The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is seeking a Custodian to join their team on a part-time basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the exhibits and facilities, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for both guests and staff. You will assist with general cleaning, guest service, and minor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including sanitizing public restrooms, vacuuming, washing windows, dusting furniture, and emptying trash cans.

• Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor grounds by picking up litter, emptying trash containers, and hosing down ramps/patios.

• Assist guests with directions or questions, providing excellent customer service.

• Clean up after special events and ensure the venue remains pristine.

• Operate light machinery such as floor scrubbers and waxing machines.

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• No formal certification required.

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Excellent guest service skills and a positive attitude.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
