Jawar Al Khaleej Shipping L.L.C is seeking a Crewing Officer to manage all aspects of seagoing personnel administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring each vessel is manned with qualified, medically fit, and experienced seafarers, overseeing recruitment, and managing the implementation of maritime compliance. This position requires a proactive approach to recruitment and personnel management within the marine and offshore industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the selection, recruitment, and deployment of seafarers in accordance with company procedures.

• Maintain seafarer databases, monitor available ex-seafarers, and anticipate future recruitment needs.

• Oversee the personal, medical, and training records of all personnel.

• Manage budgeting and forecasting for daily vessel running costs.

• Supervise the implementation of department procedures, ensuring compliance with maritime and safety regulations.

• Verify qualifications and experience of new recruits.

• Monitor documents and certificates for embarking seagoing personnel.

• Provide medical assistance to shipboard personnel when necessary.

• Prepare timesheets and salary sheets for seafarers in coordination with the finance department.

• Keep up-to-date with manning developments, including international maritime laws, union requirements, and employment associations.

• Conduct briefings and orientations for new and returning seafarers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the marine and offshore industry as a Crewing Officer.

• Strong knowledge of maritime and compliance requirements.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Experience in managing crewing budgets and financial management principles.

• Ability to coordinate and implement policies in support of the company’s strategic objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a Marine-related field is an advantage.
