ADNOC Group, a leading energy company based in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Counsellor to join their team. The Counsellor will play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic, personal, and social development at the ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA). The role involves providing individual and group counselling, facilitating communication between students, instructors, and management, and promoting students’ welfare in accordance with ATA’s rules and policies.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individual interviews to evaluate students’ personal and academic challenges.

Provide individual counselling and develop personal development plans to help students achieve academic and personal goals.

Organize and lead group counselling sessions to build skills such as time management and effective study habits.

Deliver regular lectures and workshops on cultural, health, safety, and social topics.

Monitor student progress, address concerns related to attendance and performance, and encourage distinguished students.

Participate in the Disciplinary Council and ensure proper application of disciplinary actions.

Prepare detailed weekly, mid-quarterly, and quarterly reports on student behavior and academic situations.

Maintain regular communication with students’ guardians to address academic or behavioral issues.

Foster an environment of trust and collaboration among students, instructors, and management.

Supervise and support junior staff assigned to counselling duties.

Contribute to budget planning and performance management activities.

Implement continuous improvements in counselling processes and ensure compliance with HSE policies and ADNOC standards.
Skills and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in counselling, preferably with 2 years in a vocational training center related to the oil/gas industry.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Willingness to work afternoon shifts or onsite as needed.
Work Environment:
-
Primarily office-based, involving minimal physical effort.
-
Possible afternoon shifts at student hostels or onsite duties for On-the-Job Training (OJT) counsellors.
