Cost Controller

🏢 About the Role:

Join McGettigan’s – a global hospitality brand rooted in Irish tradition – as a Cost Controller in Dubai. This role will play a critical part in managing food & beverage cost controls, inventory accuracy, and financial reporting to support operational excellence across our outlets.

📝 Key Responsibilities:

📊 Monthly Tasks:

• Monitor and analyze costs related to special events.

• Conduct monthly stocktakes of stores and outlets; upload and verify variances in JANA.

• Prepare month-end reports including JVs, F&B reconciliations, consumption reports, final flash reports, and inventories.

💰 Cost Monitoring & Analysis:

• Track daily food and beverage costs, investigating variances.

• Analyze recipe costs, portion controls, and wastage; recommend cost-saving measures.

• Monitor supplier pricing and track price changes.

📦 Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular stock counts and ensure accurate documentation of stock movements (issuance, transfers, spoilage).

• Reconcile inventory data with POS and accounting systems.

📑 Reporting & Documentation:

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports.

• Maintain product costing sheets, price structures, and inventory records.

• Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and financial controls.

🤝 Collaboration & Coordination:

• Work closely with purchasing, kitchen, bar, and finance teams to enforce cost control procedures.

• Train operational staff on inventory best practices and cost awareness.

• Support menu engineering and pricing strategy using cost analysis insights.

✅ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field.

• 4–5 years of experience in cost control, ideally in the F&B sector.

• Strong understanding of F&B operations, procurement, and inventory systems.

• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with ERP/POS systems (e.g., Infrasys, Jana).

• Detail-oriented, analytical mindset; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Full UAE driver’s license with own car.

🌟 Preferred:

• Experience with menu costing tools or inventory software (e.g., Barvintory).

• Fluency in English; Arabic or additional languages a plus.
