Contract Administrator Engineer
PGESCO Dubai , UAE

PGESCO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Administrator Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE, for a full-time on-site role. The selected candidate will be instrumental in managing and administering contracts for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, and maintaining effective contractual relationships with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret construction contracts in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., FIDIC).

  • Draft, review, and respond to contractual correspondences.

  • Manage variations, claims, and change orders aligned with contractual obligations.

  • Lead negotiations related to contract modifications and dispute resolutions.

  • Monitor ongoing contract performance and ensure full compliance with terms and conditions.

  • Evaluate and approve contractor payment applications.

  • Advise project teams on contractual matters and provide solutions to potential issues.

  • Maintain accurate and complete contract documentation and records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in contract administration for large-scale or mega construction projects.

  • Solid understanding of FIDIC contract standards and their practical applications.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and specialized contract management software.

  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in international construction projects.

  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) techniques.

  • Knowledge of project finance principles.

  • Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional, and multinational teams.

  • Flexibility to take on Change Management or Invoicing Engineer roles as needed.

  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel based on project demands.

  • Committed to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry practices.

Reporting Structure:
The Contract Administrator Engineer will work under the supervision of and report directly to the Site Contracts Manager.
