Job Title: Content and Communications Specialist 

Job Description:

About the Role:
Black & Grey HR is proud to partner with a prestigious university in the UAE to recruit a skilled and creative Content and Communications Specialist. This role is essential in advancing the university’s mission through compelling communication and strategic donor engagement. Reporting directly to the Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, the ideal candidate will be a strategic storyteller with expertise in integrated communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a unified, multi-platform communication strategy to strengthen donor and alumni engagement.

  • Ensure consistent and positive messaging across all external communication channels.

  • Collaborate with the university’s strategic communications team to align efforts and amplify institutional messaging.

  • Support multimedia and live-streaming events, particularly those related to fundraising and alumni outreach.

  • Coordinate with academic and leadership teams to align content and messaging with advancement goals.

  • Conduct market research to inform donor strategies and improve campaign targeting and outcomes.

  • Analyze communication performance and suggest improvements for donor segmentation and messaging effectiveness.

  • Assist in the creation of tailored fundraising proposals, brochures, and campaign materials.

  • Provide administrative and strategic support to the Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in higher education or the non-profit sector.

  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional writing and editing skills in both languages.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strategic mindset with the capability to craft compelling and targeted messages.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and executing integrated communication plans.

  • Proficiency in digital content creation, multimedia platforms, and data-driven communication strategies.

  • Effective project management skills with experience overseeing multi-channel campaigns.

  • Familiarity with donor engagement principles and fundraising strategies is a plus.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
