Job Title: Construction Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:
Our Tier 1 Civil Contracting client is seeking a highly experienced Construction Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Dubai, UAE, for a new build project. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in logistics coordination on large-scale construction projects and experience working with recognized main contractors in the UAE.

This position is available for immediate joining as an initial 3-6 month contract through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to a permanent staff role after six months based on mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the movement of labor, materials, and equipment to and from project sites.
• Assist in developing and implementing Logistics Strategic Plans to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and coordinate all logistical aspects of the project and provide feedback on delivery approaches.
• Contribute to logistics decisions, including site set-up planning, material delivery, waste management, and security measures.
• Develop and manage internal and external logistics routes to optimize site efficiency while ensuring safety for workers and machinery.
• Oversee traffic management, including layouts, crane locations, booking, and hoist operations.
• Manage workforce logistics, including bussing drop-off and collection points, welfare facilities, and workforce accommodation logistics.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and project requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction logistics.
• Professional memberships (CIOB / CMILT) are an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong operational experience in large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to bring innovative ideas and process improvements to logistics coordination.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in utilizing new technology to optimize logistics operations.
