Job Overview:

Our client, a leading Tier 1 Civil Contracting company, is seeking an experienced Construction Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Dubai for an exciting new build project. This role requires candidates with a proven background in logistics coordination for large-scale construction projects and experience working with reputable main contractors in the UAE.

This position is available for immediate start on an initial 3-6 month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent staff role after 6 months, subject to mutual agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the movement of labor, materials, and equipment to and from project sites efficiently.

• Collaborate in the development of strategic logistics plans for the project.

• Oversee and monitor the logistical aspects of the project, providing feedback and suggesting improvements on delivery approaches.

• Assist in the preparation, development, and implementation of logistics plans.

• Support the planning and setup of site logistics, including the movement of labor, plant, and materials around the site (e.g., hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery, and waste management strategies).

• Contribute to the development of internal and external logistics routes, ensuring safe separation of vehicles, machinery, and personnel while considering future project phases and interfaces.

• Manage traffic and vehicle coordination, ensuring smooth site operations.

• Coordinate crane locations, booking pick points, hoists, and workforce management systems.

• Oversee workforce transport, including bussing drop-off and collection.

• Monitor welfare facilities, ensuring appropriate amenities for workers on-site.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Logistics Coordinator, with hands-on experience in managing large-scale construction projects.

• Experience working with reputable contractors in the UAE is essential.

• Professional memberships (CIOB, CMILT, or similar) are an advantage but not mandatory.

• Operational experience on projects of a similar size and scale.

• Ability to bring fresh ideas, insights, and innovative approaches to logistics processes.

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills to guide teams and stakeholders towards desired outcomes.

• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and processes, helping others embrace them effectively.
