Al Tamimi & Company is looking for a Conflicts Advisor to handle conflicts clearance reviews and analysis for new business intake and lateral hires. The role involves collaborating with the Conflicts Manager and Senior Conflict Advisors to identify and resolve potential ethics and business conflict issues, ensuring compliance with applicable conflict checking rules and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze conflict results using Intapp and approve the clearance of conflicts.

• Draft communications to lawyers, identifying potential issues in conflict reports.

• Escalate complex conflict issues and liaise with Senior Conflict Advisors.

• Follow up with lawyers and secretaries to resolve conflicts and approve the clearance of conflicts.

• Assist with the drafting of waiver requests/letters.

• Manage updates to blackbook entries, outside business interests, and secondment arrangements in the conflict checking system.

• Conduct KYC searches at the conflict review stage and escalate any adverse hits to the KYC team.

• Assist with the maintenance of Intapp and reporting systems.

• Provide on-call coverage for conflict checking and analysis on scheduled weekends.

• Contribute to training and compliance knowledge improvement projects.

• Maintain the administration of information barriers and mailbox.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in conflicts or new business intake within a law firm.

• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and effective communication skills.

• Ability to handle ambiguity, conflict, and informed risk-taking.

• Organised, systematic, and a self-starter with strong client service ethic.
