Millennium is a global investment management firm committed to building a strong compliance culture that upholds the highest standards of regulatory adherence and ethical conduct. The Compliance Department at Millennium plays a vital role in developing, implementing, and managing compliance programs, policies, and systems to detect and prevent violations of laws and regulations.

Millennium’s Dubai office, located in the DIFC, is currently looking for a Compliance Officer to support its expanding team. This role involves direct compliance coverage for trading teams, surveillance analysis, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-desk compliance support to trading teams across various asset classes.

  • Investigate market abuse and communication surveillance alerts and produce timely reports.

  • Identify, escalate, and follow up on potentially suspicious orders, trades, or communications.

  • Conduct ad hoc reviews to detect activity patterns and suspicious behaviors.

  • Monitor and analyze changes in regulatory frameworks in the UAE and DIFC.

  • Assist in the calibration and enhancement of surveillance alert systems in alignment with UAE laws.

  • Maintain the firm’s compliance program and oversee the review of internal certifications and policies.

  • Conduct KYC on client profiles as needed.

  • Support the creation of trade reports and compliance presentations for internal stakeholders.

  • Assist with regulatory audits, internal investigations, and compliance training programs.

  • Maintain procedure manuals and compliance materials; manage logs and documentation.

  • Stay updated on compliance-related trends, sanctions, and directives issued by UAE authorities, DFSA, FATF, and international bodies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience at a regulatory authority or compliance department of a financial services firm.

  • Strong understanding of financial trading and asset classes including commodities.

  • Experience working with surveillance systems, interpreting alerts, and investigating compliance breaches.

  • Ability to quickly understand and analyze trading behavior and alert triggers.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • High adaptability, ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • A proactive team player with a commitment to ethical conduct and regulatory excellence.
