Job Overview:
The Commis III role is essential to the culinary team, responsible for food preparation, cleanliness, and assisting in the overall kitchen operations. You will ensure high-quality food standards and support the chefs in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients by chopping, portioning, and storing as per standards

Cook food according to recipes, ensuring quality and presentation standards

Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and microwaves
-
Test and monitor food quality throughout preparation
-
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, tools, and equipment
-
Set up and dismantle workstations
-
Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
-
Report equipment issues or safety hazards to supervisors

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Perform additional tasks as requested by supervisors
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the culinary field

No supervisory experience required

Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards

Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 lbs

Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods
