Kitopi is seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Chef – Cold Kitchen to join its culinary team in Dubai. The role involves preparing, assembling, and presenting high-quality cold dishes including salads, sandwiches, canapés, dressings, and appetizers, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble cold dishes (salads, sandwiches, canapés, dressings, starters) as per recipes and plating standards.

• Ensure mise en place is ready, organized, and replenished for smooth kitchen operations.

• Properly store, label, and handle ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce wastage.

• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices in line with Kitopi’s QHSE policies.

• Assist senior chefs in new menu development, tastings, and trials.

• Maintain portion control and consistency across all dishes.

• Clean and maintain cold kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations.

• Report shortages, spoilage, or maintenance issues promptly.

• Support the wider kitchen team during service when required.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef in a cold kitchen, catering, or restaurant preferred.

• Knowledge of cold food preparation, plating techniques, and portion control.

• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP certification is an advantage).

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Attention to detail, creativity, and passion for culinary excellence.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
