Kitopi, a leading tech-powered food company, is looking to hire a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine to join its dynamic culinary team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to delivering authentic Chinese dishes in a high-performance kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in preparing a wide range of traditional Chinese dishes, maintaining the highest standards in food hygiene, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking authentic Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, dim sum, noodles, rice, and sauces.

• Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

• Ensure kitchen workstations are properly set up and maintained before and after shifts.

• Prepare ingredients such as meats, vegetables, sauces, and marinades using traditional Chinese culinary techniques.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.

• Adhere strictly to HACCP and local food safety and sanitation regulations.

• Participate in stock rotation and assist in inventory management.

• Support in receiving and proper storage of kitchen supplies and ingredients.

• Work under the supervision of experienced chefs to improve cooking skills and efficiency.

• Take initiative in assisting with various kitchen duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a professional kitchen; prior exposure to Chinese cuisine is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of wok cooking and Chinese culinary methods is highly desirable.

• Strong passion for Chinese cuisine and willingness to learn.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment.

• Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
