Marriott International is hiring a Commis 1 for Sheraton Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. This full-time role is ideal for culinary professionals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining high-quality culinary standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients including chopping, portioning, and storing food

Cook and present food as per recipes and quality standards

Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and microwaves

Prepare cold items and test food for doneness

Set up and clean workstations, tools, and kitchen surfaces
-
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards

Monitor appliance and food temperatures

Adhere to safety protocols and report incidents

Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive work environment

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Required Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar culinary role

Strong knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and preparation techniques

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds without assistance

Willingness to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
-
Good communication and teamwork skills

No supervisory experience required
