Collection Officer
Bureau Veritas Certification Dubai , UAE

Bureau Veritas Certification is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Collection Officer to join its GES – Finance team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for finance professionals with strong interpersonal skills and a background in collections. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Collection Officer will be responsible for managing receivables, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collections in compliance with company policies and QHSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with clients to ensure timely collection of receivables as per KPIs
  • Schedule regular meetings with customers to maintain strong professional relationships
  • Reconcile collections transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Ensure all collected amounts are deposited and discrepancies are reported
  • Support the invoicing team and address customer queries related to payments
  • Assist with month-end closing and ensure proper recording of receipts
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including QHSE requirements

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Authorized to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed
  • Maintain a tidy and hazard-free work area
  • Report hazards and participate in risk mitigation
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in collections (banking, real estate, or oil & gas preferred)
  • UAE Driving License is mandatory
  • Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to manage difficult clients and work in multicultural environments
  • Proven sales and customer relationship management skills
