Abbott, a global healthcare leader, is seeking a Collecting Officer to join the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Toxicology team in Dubai. This role involves performing specimen collections at various locations, following internal procedures, and ensuring high-quality service. The ideal candidate is a health professional or medical laboratory technician with relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, self-motivated approach to work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct specimen collections competently, following internal procedures and customer requirements.

• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota if required.

• Organize and facilitate testing programs in collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager.

• Stay current with processes, attend audits, and maintain competency.

• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Health Professional or Medical Laboratory Technician.

• 2–3 years relevant experience in specimen collection or related medical laboratory technology.

• Educated to national standards.

• Strong verbal and written English.

• IT literate with basic skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.

• Ability to follow set processes to ensure accurate outcomes.

• Current Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license preferred; candidates with full credentials for DHA licensing will also be considered.

• Security clearance and eligibility for an Airport Pass may be required.
