WSP in the Middle East is seeking a qualified Civil Inspector to join its team for a 6-month Roads & Infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. As one of the world’s leading engineering professional services firms, WSP offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile civil projects, including roads, utilities, drainage, and grading works. This role is critical in ensuring that construction activities align with approved plans, project specifications, and safety regulations. This is a hybrid, full-time role, and while it is a temporary assignment, there may be opportunities for reassignment, although continuity is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities:

Site Inspection & Supervision: Monitor construction work on roads, utilities, and infrastructure; perform inspections on grading, drainage, and paving.

Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with ADM standards and local authority regulations; identify non-conformities and support corrective actions.

Technical Validation: Review and approve contractors’ method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals.

Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records including daily logs and photo documentation; support in progress reporting and attending coordination meetings.

Coordination & Communication: Work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to address on-site challenges promptly.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in civil inspection, particularly in road and infrastructure projects

Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality standards and construction supervision in the UAE

Strong knowledge of local construction codes, HSE practices, and quality control procedures

Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering applications

Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills
