Stantec, a global leader in design and consulting services, is seeking a UAE National Civil Design Engineer to join their Dubai team. This full-time role focuses on wet infrastructure projects, including wastewater, stormwater, potable water, and flood management systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure design and modeling, and be passionate about shaping sustainable communities through innovative engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design concept, preliminary, and detailed plans for wet infrastructure systems

• Conduct data collection, analysis, and develop design briefs

• Perform hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software

• Create technical documentation: design reports, drawings, BOQs, and specifications

• Prepare cost estimates and tender documents

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, sub-consultants, and clients

• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, including NOC follow-ups

• Adhere to Stantec’s HSE policies, quality systems, and safety design principles

Required Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with wet infrastructure design standards (especially GCC-focused)

• Proven ability to manage time, workload, and client relationships

• Excellent verbal and written English skills (Arabic preferred)

• Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, ArcGIS, InfoWater, InfoSewer, WaterGems, SewerGems, InfoWorks ICM/WS

• Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive mindset

• Willingness to pursue professional accreditation (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, Engineers Australia)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution

• 5+ years of experience in master planning and design of wet infrastructure

• Must be a UAE National with a valid Khulasat Al Qaid (Family Book)

• International or GCC region work experience is an advantage
