Overview

A leading company in the UAE is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer to oversee and manage our financial operations across the Middle East region. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in banking relations, treasury management, and financial reporting, and will be responsible for ensuring the company’s payment processes remain prompt, efficient, and cost effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Banking & Account Management:

  • Open and manage accounts with UAE and Middle Eastern banks.

  • Ensure efficient payment processes (prompt execution and minimal fees).

• Relationship Management:

  • Interact with UAE-based banks and various financial organizations to uncover new opportunities for growth.

  • Engage with customers from regions such as China, Korea, etc., to control and streamline the return of funds.

• Margin and Liquidity Oversight:

  • Oversee the formation of margins for UAE Trade House.

  • Manage cash and overall liquidity to maintain optimal operational efficiency.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a small team comprising a Finance Manager and an Accountant.

• Exchange Rate & Risk Management:

  • Account for and manage exchange rate differences (including currencies such as CNY, CNH, USD, AED, RUB).

  • Implement hedging strategies to mitigate the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations.

• Compliance & Reporting:

  • Supervise the accounting and tax reporting processes for the UAE-based trading division.

  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and consultants.

  • Continuously track and assess changes in UAE tax legislation and their potential impact on the company.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:

  • A higher education degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance within trading organizations or corporate banking.

  • Proven track record with UAE banks and contract management.

• Certifications & Technical Skills:

  • IFRS certification and a thorough understanding of accounting fundamentals.

  • In-depth knowledge of the current UAE tax system with a proactive approach to tracking legislative changes.

  • Ability to analyze and manage high volumes of information and complex data sets.

• Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and exceptional organizational abilities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Russian or Chinese is an added advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: AED 35,000 to 40,000 (inclusive of fixed allowances)
