We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef specializing in Western and Fast Food cuisines to join our dynamic kitchen team at Kuliner Nusantara, a Dubai-based restaurant. This role will complement our existing Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singaporean menu by adding variety and enhancing the dining experience for a diverse customer base.

You will be responsible for preparing a wide range of Western dishes such as burgers, steaks, pasta, and salads, as well as fast food items like fries, sandwiches, and fried chicken. In addition to cooking, you’ll collaborate with the team to introduce new dishes, maintain food quality, and ensure a smooth kitchen operation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Cooking & Preparation: Prepare and cook Western dishes (e.g., burgers, steaks, pasta) and fast food items (e.g., fries, sandwiches, fried chicken).

  • Quality Control: Ensure the food is of the highest quality and consistency, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Menu Integration: Work with the kitchen team to integrate new dishes into the existing menu, adding to the restaurant’s variety.

  • Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain inventory levels, manage kitchen equipment, and report malfunctions promptly for repair.

  • Consistency: Ensure uniformity in food preparation across shifts to guarantee the same quality and experience for every customer.

  • Catering & Special Events: Prepare special dishes for catering events, promotions, and themed nights.

  • Cost Management: Optimize the use of ingredients to keep food costs in line with budgetary targets while maintaining quality.

  • Training: Assist in training junior kitchen staff on Western and fast food preparation techniques.

  • Coordination: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and integration of Western dishes with the existing menu.

  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain kitchen equipment safely, adhering to food safety regulations (HACCP or Dubai Municipality standards).


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing Western and fast food dishes.

  • Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP or Dubai Municipality standards).

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various cuisines.

  • Language Skills: Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic, Malay, or Indonesian is a plus.

  • Visa: Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one.
