Job Summary

NOV Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to support the procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential to meeting production and customer demands. The role involves negotiating vendor contracts, managing delivery schedules, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the inside sales team with accurate lead times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide lead times to the inside sales team after approvals

• Purchase raw materials, components, and services based on production needs

• Analyze supplier quotes and negotiate best terms

• Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships

• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery

• Create and manage purchase orders and requisitions

• Track inventory levels and ensure adequate stock

• Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery

• Resolve invoice discrepancies

• Maintain accurate procurement records

• Generate reports on purchasing activities and vendor performance

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

• Working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle JDE preferred)

• Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Strong analytical and multitasking skills

• Motivated, professional, and a positive team player

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in buying, planning, or procurement

• Experience in Oil & Gas industry is a plus
