Business Development Manager – Refined Petroleum Products
Energetech Dubai , UAE

Energetech, a global leader in energy logistics and commodity trading, is expanding its refined petroleum products division and seeking a Business Development Manager to lead market growth efforts in East and Southern Africa. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the trading and distribution of Diesel, Gasoline, HFO, and Jet fuel, particularly within the mining, industrial, and transport sectors. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, requiring travel across Africa to support strategic market development and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow the refined products business by establishing and managing strong relationships with end users, distributors, and last-mile logistics providers

  • Understand regional fuel demand profiles and identify high-potential opportunities in underserved mining and industrial regions

  • Participate in tenders, RFPs, and direct B2B negotiations to secure supply deals

  • Structure and close supply agreements aligned with logistical capabilities and customer needs

  • Collaborate with internal trading, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery

  • Evaluate regional logistics infrastructure—storage, transport, delivery—and develop optimization strategies

  • Represent Energetech in industry events and client meetings to enhance market presence and foster relationships

  • Support leadership in executing commercial growth strategies and increasing regional market share

Skills & Attributes:

  • Deep knowledge of refined petroleum products trade and distribution in East and Southern Africa

  • Ability to identify and act on commercial opportunities in fast-changing environments

  • Experienced in fuel tenders, storage solutions, and last-mile logistics

  • Strong client management and networking skills within mining, industrial, and logistics sectors

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and self-driven approach

  • Analytical and strategic thinker with strong negotiation and communication skills

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Trade, or related field

  • 5+ years of business development or trading experience in the refined fuel products sector

  • Proven track record of participating in fuel tenders and growing B2B or institutional client portfolios

  • Existing network of customers, suppliers, and logistics partners in East and Southern Africa

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM or trading platform experience is a plus

  • Willingness to travel extensively across target regions as required
