Job Description:

L’Oréal is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Dubai. This role is crucial in strengthening relationships with key retailers, especially Sephora, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business development and marketing, with strong management skills to lead a team of area managers and beauty advisors. You will be responsible for meeting sales targets, coordinating trade animations, managing forecasting and budgets, and adapting global strategies for the local market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sell-in and sell-out targets, focusing on key accounts, including Sephora.

  • Manage and optimize the productivity of beauty advisors across Sephora locations.

  • Develop and implement trade animations and online campaigns.

  • Coordinate business reviews, contracts, and budget management for promotions and beauty advisor salaries.

  • Adapt and implement global category strategies locally.

  • Monitor future trends in the beauty industry and strategize for long-term growth.

  • Lead and manage relationships with key retailers, ensuring mutually beneficial solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, business development, and commercial teams, to achieve targets and drive growth.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in business development and/or shopper marketing.

  • Experience working with key retailers (beauty sector experience preferred but not essential if strong retail category management experience exists).

  • Commercial experience with a focus on sales and marketing.

  • Strong understanding of retail and category management in a consumer-driven environment.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.

  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with short-term execution to drive results.

  • Hunger for market knowledge and future trends, using insights to craft growth plans.

  • Creativity, with the ability to think outside the box and drive innovative solutions.

  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and results-oriented.

Stakeholders:

  • Internal: Commercial, Marketing, Business Development, CMI.

  • External: Key clients, agencies for instore reinvention projects.
