Claxton, a leading decommissioning and cutting services division of the Acteon Group, is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive sales and growth in the Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi, this full-time, on-site role is ideal for candidates with a strong sales background in the oil and gas sector, particularly in drilling, decommissioning, or subsea services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and expanding the customer base by introducing innovative solutions. Candidates from technical or project-based roles looking to transition into a client-facing commercial position are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve monthly and annual sales and revenue targets

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers

• Grow business within existing accounts and expand reach to new clients

• Conduct regular face-to-face client meetings and manage satisfaction issues

• Create and maintain strategic Account Plans with customer insights and sales strategies

• Drive sales opportunity pipeline and follow up on leads and referrals

• Manage bids/tenders and secure profitable business contracts

• Report sales forecasts and business developments to Claxton management

Requirements:

• HND/HNC or equivalent in business, technical, or engineering fields

• 5+ years of successful sales experience, with 2+ years in account or relationship management

• Strong knowledge of the upstream oilfield sector, including drilling and decommissioning

• Technical understanding of mechanical engineering and oil & gas services

• Experience in bid management and commercial agreements

• Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented with excellent communication skills

• Integrity, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach

• Has strong commercial instincts and a passion for building client relationships
