Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support and drive client-focused growth initiatives across the Middle East. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development – Middle East Lead, this role plays a critical part in shaping and executing strategic business development programs aligned with the firm’s industry and practice group priorities.

Based in Dubai, the position requires close collaboration with senior lawyers, practice leaders, and internal teams including Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Competitive Intelligence, and Industry Specialists. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and strong relationship management skills to identify client opportunities and deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy

  • Support the identification, prioritization, and execution of strategic client development initiatives across industry groups

  • Develop and implement client-specific business development plans aligned with firm-wide growth strategies

  • Identify and assess client expansion opportunities using financial analysis, market insights, and competitive intelligence

  • Support cross-practice and cross-border initiatives to strengthen client relationships and increase revenue opportunities

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage multiple mid- to large-scale business development projects from inception through completion

  • Coordinate with lawyers, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of initiatives

  • Track project progress against milestones and objectives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

  • Operate effectively in a highly matrixed, fast-paced professional services environment

Analysis, Reporting & Deliverables

  • Interpret financial data and competitive intelligence to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities

  • Create high-quality business development materials including presentations, reports, proposals, and strategic plans

  • Develop and maintain tracking, reporting, and project management tools such as dashboards, spreadsheets, and databases

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive management

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing mid- to large-scale projects within a professional services or consulting environment

  • Prior experience within an international law firm is essential

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape facing major global law firms

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business development and growth plans

  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills

  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines

  • Results-driven mindset with sound commercial judgment and decision-making ability

  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and working across multiple business units

  • Innovative, proactive, and self-motivated

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project

  • Strong capability in data analysis, reporting, and presentation development
