Job Title: Business Development Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Engineer with a strong technical background in Artificial Lift Systems (ALS) to join our team. This role focuses on the promotion and growth of ALS product lines including Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP), Rod Lift Accessories (RLA), Hydraulic Pumping Units (HPU), and Automation (AUTO) across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and beyond.

You will be responsible for expanding the ALS portfolio through technical and strategic business development activities, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring sales targets and product qualifications are met. The position requires up to 50% regional travel and occasional travel within MENA and Asia as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and sales for ALS verticals: PCP, RLA, AUTO, and HPU.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the region.

  • Generate new business opportunities and qualify products with end-users.

  • Submit detailed Customer Visit Reports (CVRs) and maintain an updated CRM system.

  • Coordinate sales processes and work closely with inside sales, legal, technical, and commercial teams.

  • Prepare monthly revenue forecasting and contribute to strategy formulation and execution.

  • Facilitate contract development and product qualification in collaboration with internal departments.

  • Ensure all activities align with company compliance standards and strategic goals.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development within the oil & gas industry.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Artificial Lift systems, especially PCP; additional knowledge of RLA, HPU, and AUTO is a plus.

  • Engineering degree with technical expertise in ALS design, installation, and support.

  • Familiarity with API / ISO standards and workshop testing processes for ALS equipment.

  • Proven success in sales, account management, and strategy implementation.

  • Proficient in CRM platforms; experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is advantageous.

  • Understanding of commercial terms, incoterms, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Must be fluent in English (written & spoken) – certification preferred.

  • Flexible for frequent travel across GCC and internationally on short notice.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of AUTO, RLA, and HPU systems.

  • Experience with design software such as CFER and S-ROD.

  • Exposure to financial forecasting and compliance-driven reporting.
