Shiseido is looking for a Business Controller to develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial activities to ensure accurate financial performance. The role includes analyzing and tracking Gross Margin performance, managing the pricing process, and leading cost analysis to identify margin improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting from sales to gross margin.

• Perform monthly financial closing activities.

• Monitor and analyze Gross Margin performance by brand, market, channel, and key account.

• Organize monthly Gross Margin performance reviews with the commercial team.

• Calculate and track monthly provisions for returns and rebates.

• Implement controls and processes for Gross Sales to Net Sales costs.

• Conduct detailed analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by market, customer, brand, and SKU to identify margin improvement opportunities.

• Evaluate and challenge freight-in costs and excess & obsolete inventory.

• Lead the pricing process and control intercompany sales and margins.

• Analyze ROI for new openings and launches.

• Contribute to regional budget execution and suggest performance improvements.

• Facilitate communication between finance and other departments.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting processes as per Group deliverables.

• Implement and maintain reporting and controlling standards.

• Perform ad hoc analysis and manage special projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting.

• CPA or ACCA certification is an advantage.

• 5-6 years of experience in finance, ideally with operational experience and strong business acumen.

• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong ability to work autonomously and proactively.
