The Bid Manager at ADB SAFEGATE will be the initial technical point of contact, providing support and consultancy to customers before sales. The role involves preparing and coordinating bids for a range of solutions and services, managing quotations, and offering technical guidance throughout project execution. The Bid Manager also supports Area Sales Managers, project management teams, and external suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, coordinate, and submit bids ranging from simple to complex.

• Calculate and coordinate quotations for solutions and services and upload them into SAP Projects.

• Offer technical clarifications and support to customers and agents during the bidding phase.

• Defend offers internally and occasionally locally in support of the Area Sales Manager.

• Provide alternative solutions in case of price issues or specification deviations.

• Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and write relevant airfield lighting, VDGS, and tower-related standards and methods.

• Contact third-party suppliers and contractors for airfield lighting projects, prepare RFQs, evaluate offers, and select appropriate vendors.

• Prepare budgetary offers and gross Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for AGL/VDGS/Tower designs.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Airfield/Airport, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent experience.

• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.

• Expert knowledge of ADB SAFEGATE’s product and solution portfolio.

• Familiarity with AGL/VDGS/Tower technologies and related design standards (ICAO, FAA).

• Experience with government tender requirements, especially in Africa.

• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

• Native Arabic speaker preferred.
