Associate, USA Venture Capital

PER is seeking an experienced Associate to join a major family-owned conglomerate’s technology venture capital team focused on the USA. This full-time, on-site role will involve sourcing new opportunities in the technology sector, conducting financial and commercial analysis, and participating in due diligence and investment activities. The Associate will play a key role in managing the deal pipeline, developing investment papers, and supporting transaction work related to divestitures. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in investment banking or principal investing in the technology sector, specifically with a focus on software as a service (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source new investment opportunities in the technology sector through market research, relationship-building, and attending industry events.

  • Actively manage the deal pipeline, ensuring that all information on current and potential investments is regularly updated.

  • Evaluate investment opportunities by performing financial analysis, return analysis, and scenario modelling.

  • Participate in due diligence, including tech, commercial, financial, tax, and legal aspects, either internally or with external advisors.

  • Develop investment papers and presentations for submission to the Investment Committee and Executive Board.

  • Support transaction work related to divestitures, including preparing investment decks, negotiating deal terms, and managing required information.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in working on projects or investments in the USA is essential.

  • Strong experience in investment banking or principal investing, particularly in the technology sector with a focus on SaaS (Software as a Service).

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and modelling skills, including the ability to analyze complex operating, financial, and valuation models.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English. Arabic language skills are a plus but not essential.

  • Ability to simplify and present complex technology concepts and highlight their commercial potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university (Advanced degree in a technology-related discipline preferred).
