Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an experienced Associate – Public Health to join its Building Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This role will lead the design, review, and implementation of mechanical and public health systems across diverse projects, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP and Public Health design projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

• Oversee the analysis and detailed design of complex public health systems.

• Ensure designs align with regulatory codes, environmental and safety standards, and client specifications.

• Conduct technical audits, risk assessments, and design reviews.

• Promote modern design practices, including automation and BIM integration.

• Implement digital workflows and computational engineering solutions.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to evaluate and recommend suitable building system designs.

• Efficiently allocate project resources and manage team contributions.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical/public health design engineering.

• Strong understanding of GCC public health codes and regulations.

• Proficiency in data analysis and use of statistical or modeling tools.

• Demonstrated project management and technical leadership skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) certification.

• Experience with advanced design tools and BIM environments.

• Familiarity with AECOM digital tools and multidisciplinary coordination practices.
