We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director – Legal to provide strategic legal support and guidance across construction and development projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage contracts, mitigate legal risks, and support dispute resolution while ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
Key Responsibilities

Review, draft, and amend construction contracts using company templates for projects across the Dubai Holding portfolio.

Advise business teams on key contractual risks and required amendments to protect company interests.

Provide legal guidance on live project issues including contractor performance, delays, insolvency, and major project disputes.

Draft contractual notices, correspondence, and documents to ensure compliance with agreements.

Support the business in pre-dispute matters, disputes, defect claims, and arbitration processes.

Act as primary liaison with external counsel, experts, and consultants on construction-related legal matters.

Review procurement and development agreements, bonds, warranties, and ancillary construction documents.

Keep updated on Dubai and UAE laws, FIDIC contracts, and construction regulations.

Ensure compliance with internal legal policies, procedures, and approvals.

Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing strategic guidance to the business.
Desired Candidate Profile

8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales and/or other recognized jurisdiction.

Knowledge of Dubai laws and FIDIC-based contracts preferred.

Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.

Proven ability to work collaboratively in multicultural teams.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience conducting due diligence and assessing legal implications for projects.
