Assistant Project Manager – Site Supervision
GHD Abu Dhabi , UAE

GHD, a global leader in engineering and professional services, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Site Supervision to join their team in Abu Dhabi. This full-time role plays a pivotal part in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by ensuring quality control, schedule adherence, and alignment with client and regulatory standards.

The selected candidate will support the Project Manager in supervising all aspects of the project lifecycle—from health and safety planning to budget control and contractor performance monitoring—ensuring that each project meets or exceeds set goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company alongside the Project Manager in dealings with clients and subcontractors.

  • Track project instructions and ensure timely follow-ups.

  • Monitor contractor adherence to timelines and technical specifications.

  • Support the implementation and oversight of Health & Safety, QA/QC, and Project Execution Plans.

  • Assist in managing project budgets, schedules, reporting, and variations.

  • Evaluate ongoing project performance against time and cost parameters.

  • Communicate performance data to the wider project management team.

  • Coordinate resources across internal teams, subconsultants, and external vendors.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and support improvements.

  • Perform additional duties as required by the Project Manager.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability in project control disciplines (scheduling, cost control, reporting).

  • Experience supporting large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
