Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism is hiring an Assistant Manager (Retail Festivals & Events – National Talent) to support the strategic planning and seamless execution of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). This full-time, on-site role is ideal for UAE Nationals with a passion for event planning, stakeholder coordination, and delivering world-class experiences aligned with Dubai’s economic and tourism goals.

The Assistant Manager will contribute to budgeting, event classification, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement, while incorporating innovative content and best practices in global event management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in developing and managing DSF event plans, including resource allocation and milestone-based timelines.

• Assist in preparing budgets, managing financial controls, and establishing metrics to monitor performance and expenditures.

• Classify DSF events based on audience type, location, scope, budget, and other relevant factors.

• Coordinate with the Event Marketing team by preparing communications to support effective campaign execution.

• Collaborate with the procurement department on RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract administration.

• Oversee on-ground event implementation and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, sponsors, and government authorities to ensure smooth event execution.

• Propose and integrate creative content and activations aligned with international event management standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Proven experience in event planning, festival operations, or project management.

• Strong financial and resource management abilities.

• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with government processes and public-private partnerships in the UAE.

• Creative mindset with an understanding of event trends and audience engagement strategies.

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
