Role Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Projects (HV Substation) to support the design and execution of high-voltage substation infrastructure (e.g., 132/33KV, 132/11KV) for mission-critical data center developments. The ideal candidate will ensure projects meet rigorous utility standards, Tier (Uptime Institute) requirements, and global power infrastructure benchmarks.

Functional Responsibilities:

• Assist in design review, technical submittals, and execution of HV substation projects (132/33/11kV).

• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and utility providers across the Middle East, Far East, and Europe.

• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier standards, local authority (e.g., DEWA, SEWA, ADDC) regulations, and project specifications.

• Review IFC/as-built drawings, inspection logs, ITPs, and test documentation.

• Support authority approvals, commissioning, energization, and compliance inspections.

• Align substation delivery with broader data center MEP and infrastructure timelines.

• Identify and resolve project challenges in collaboration with technical stakeholders.

• Contribute to documentation and reporting during project lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.

• Experience: 10–12 years in high-voltage substation design and execution, ideally within mission-critical or data center projects.

• Strong familiarity with DEWA, SEWA, ADDC standards and practices.

• Working knowledge of utility interface, civil/structural/M&E coordination, and HSE/QA/QC in high-risk environments.

• Experience in scheduling tools, EDMS, reporting platforms, and technical documentation.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of underground cabling, power distribution, and transmission grid integration.
