The Assistant Manager – Banquets ensures the smooth operation of banquet services at the Buenos Aires Marriott, overseeing staff to deliver optimal service to guests. This role involves team management, setting up banquet areas, monitoring service quality, and ensuring safety and guest satisfaction. You will assist management in hiring, training, and motivating staff, and maintaining high standards of service quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate banquet service staff, ensuring teamwork and optimum service.

Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall appearance, ensuring professionalism.

Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning, and securing areas.

Monitor dining rooms, seating availability, and guest safety and well-being.

Assist with inventory control, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining organization.

Ensure safety and security protocols are followed, and report any hazards or accidents.

Provide leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution within the team.

Foster positive relationships with guests and staff to ensure a high-quality experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).

Work Experience: At least 2 years in a related role, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
