Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an Assistant Manager for their Banqueting Team. In this role, you will provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, manage event setups, and oversee financial analysis and billing. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Catering and Event Sales team to maintain quality service and exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide operational and administrative support for smooth Banqueting operations.

Take charge of Banquet operations in the absence of the department head.

Monitor operational standards, policies, and quality measures to ensure consistency.

Coordinate with the F&B outlets, catering, and event sales teams to ensure smooth event operations.

Maintain strong relationships with event contractors and collaborate with culinary teams for event setups and service.

Oversee the setup of venues, ensuring lighting, music, decoration, and audio-visual equipment are in place.

Assist in planning promotional activities and manage event billing and financial analysis.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

High School qualification or equivalent; Degree in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment, with UAE and hotel pre-opening experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of HACCP and Banquet service procedures.

Skills:
-
Proficient in MS Office.
-
Excellent organizational, administrative, and event management skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure operational excellence, even during long working hours.

Strong customer service and team leadership abilities.
