Charterhouse is conducting an exclusive search for an Assistant Finance Manager (AFM) on behalf of a leading company in the Commodities and Supply Chain sector. This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage cash flow, accounting controls, and trade finance operations while ensuring compliance with financial governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cash management, financial operations, and accounting controls across the organization.

• Manage payment processing and invoicing through the ERP system.

• Monitor and optimize credit lines, trade finance activities, and import/export letters of credit.

• Ensure daily cash flow reporting, liquidity ratio analysis, and financial commentary.

• Support audit, compliance, and KYC reporting, ensuring adherence to financial regulations.

• Maintain robust payment controls and fund tracking, supporting commercial teams with documentation, bills of lading, and contractual obligations.

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders in risk management, sales & trading, and liquidity management.

• Strengthen banking relationships to optimize financing arrangements.

Requirements:

• Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or an MBA in Finance.

• Proven experience in cash management, financial operations, and trade finance, ideally within a commodity trading or supply chain organization.

• Strong knowledge of international treasury operations, banking products, and financial instruments.

• Expertise in financial governance, risk assessment, and compliance reporting.

• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency for financial data management and reporting.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership.
