Delta Hotels by Marriott Kingston Waterfront is seeking a dedicated Assistant Engineering Manager to join its Dubai-based team. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for candidates with technical expertise and leadership skills in hotel engineering and maintenance operations.

The Assistant Engineering Manager will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repair, inventory control, and ensuring all tools and equipment meet safety standards. The role also involves supporting engineering staff, maintaining safety compliance, and assisting with guest service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.

• Calibrate controls, meters, and gauges; identify and operate all shut-off valves.

• Maintain inventory and logs for parts, tools, and supplies.

• Conduct inspections of tools and machinery; operate power lifts and conduct generator/fire-pump tests.

• Ensure fire sprinkler and alarm systems are operational; assist with disaster response protocols.

• Respond to guest repair requests promptly and professionally.

• Support hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluation of engineering staff.

• Enforce safety and company policies, complete certifications, and report any hazards or incidents.

• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality.

• Foster team collaboration, handle guest interactions with professionalism, and drive improvements in efficiency and safety.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in engineering or maintenance.

• Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Skills: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate machinery, perform physical tasks, and communicate clearly in professional settings.

• Certifications: No specific license required, though safety training is essential.
