The ideal candidate will provide analytical and operational support, working closely with buyers, designers, and vendors to build seasonal ranges, develop products, and optimize purchasing strategies. This full-time on-site role requires expertise in merchandising, supplier management, and fashion market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist buyer/senior buyer in cost negotiations with suppliers, ensuring margin targets are met.
• Formulate seasonal strategy through in-season and post-season review analysis.
• Support the development of seasonal range and buy plans.
• Collaborate with design and buyer teams to develop products and finalize samples.
• Manage vendor communication, tech pack finalization, and supplier selections.
• Ensure smooth approvals, fits, sample management, and logistics coordination.
• Handle PLM data management, price negotiation, and critical path tracking.
• Analyze weekly sales reports, stock availability, and product performance, recommending trade actions.
• Coordinate with VM, sourcing, quality, and logistics teams for collection launches.
• Conduct market research to track competition, spot risks, and identify opportunities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in the retail industry, including 4+ years in merchandising or 1+ year in an assistant buyer role.
• Expertise in beauty and cosmetics product categories.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management, pricing, compliance, and product development.
• Ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and sales performance.
• Proficiency in PLM systems, negotiation, and merchandising analytics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage cross-functional collaborations.
