Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Arabic Chef to lead the culinary preparation of authentic Arabic dishes in line with Mövenpick’s high standards. The role involves managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety, and contributing to innovative menu design.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Organizing:

Utilize forecasts to plan food production, purchasing, and manpower needs

Prioritize and organize daily kitchen operations and tasks
Kitchen Operations:
-
Produce high-quality Arabic cuisine in taste and presentation
-
Supervise the assigned kitchen station and staff
-
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and sanitation standards
-
Control food wastage without compromising quality
-
Maintain accurate records and enforce safety standards
-
Contribute to new dish development and menu innovation
-
Ensure smooth communication with outlet teams and senior chefs
Leadership & Training:
-
Train and mentor junior chefs
-
Conduct kitchen briefings and daily task delegation
-
Act as liaison between senior culinary leadership and kitchen staff
-
Ensure professional equipment is well-maintained and functional
Administrative Duties:
-
Verify staff attendance and manage scheduling
-
Handle food requisitions and inter-kitchen transfers
-
Maintain daily kitchen log sheets and documentation
-
Ensure compliance with hotel and departmental policies
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in a 5-star hotel kitchen
-
Proven expertise in Arabic cuisine
-
Previous experience in GCC/Middle East region is an advantage
-
Strong culinary and food presentation skills
-
Excellent understanding of food hygiene, health, and safety standards
-
Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
